After reading a case study about driving traffic from Instagram Reels using the Swap Face service, I decided to try this traffic source for OnlyFans as well.
I've been working with social media since 2018. Back then, I was driving traffic to dating offers, but for the past year, I've been working with OnlyFans. In this case study, I'll show how I earned over $10,000 from Instagram, demonstrate how I created content, and explain how I grew accounts.
Account Preparation and Getting Started
I began in September 2024: I created an Instagram account, linked it to an email, but after the first publication, it was immediately banned. The ban is easy to remove: you simply confirm you're not a robot, enter the code sent to your email, link a phone number, and send a selfie. Usually, within 24 hours, the account comes back to life.
I chose a content strategy and decided to use content from different girls to make it diverse and more likely to appear in recommendations. Finding them was very easy: I simply liked 10-15 videos of models, and afterward, my feed constantly showed me loads of similar content.
I didn't bother paying for a face-swapping service subscription; instead, I made 2-3 videos daily for free here. The neural network handled its task excellently. Here's an example of one of the videos I made — the fake is on the left, the original on the right:
Despite having a different face, Instagram algorithms identify it as non-unique content and don't provide views. That's why you need to make the content unique — by changing video metadata, which can be done using the CapCut app or a Telegram bot (search it, no ads). I chose the first option, adding filters to videos, changing their size, and so on.
Before starting my campaign, I warmed up the account: daily for three days, I posted 5 videos so the account wouldn't look empty. After that, I could move on to promotion. I searched for "girl," selected suitable accounts, and messaged them to buy advertising. You can skip model accounts since they usually only tag other models.
Always ask for reach statistics and geographic data before making a purchase, and make sure that Tier-1 countries are at the top.
- USA - 19.3%
- Italia - 8.7%
- Germany - 6.3%
- France - 4.9%
If the profile statistics show poor geographic data — immediately reject them to avoid wasting money. Your audience determines where your video will be shown, and if subscribers are from India, expect statistics like this:
India 28.3%. Avoid such cases.
From there, it's simple: purchase advertising and regularly post Reels. The activity on your account will grow, and eventually one of your videos will hit the recommendation algorithms.
First Tests on OnlyFans offers on OnlyTraffic:
I started directing traffic from Instagram to models on a revenue share basis through the OnlyTraffic affiliate network. I didn't have a specific strategy for choosing offers, so I tested different options and observed which ones performed better.
In total, I earned $1,157 from all campaigns through RevShare:
One of the campaigns shows Facebook as the source, but this was simply an error.
Working Directly with a Model and a Whale Who Spent $20,000 in a Month
Later, I decided to work with a model directly using the same approach, with a 25% RevShare of whatever subscribers spent on OnlyFans.
About one and a half months after publishing a video on the account, it hit the recommendation algorithm: the Reel garnered 7 million views, and approximately 700 fans subscribed to the OnlyFans model within 2 weeks. Then it died down, but after a week it started gaining traction again: it received another 8 million views and 800 fans. From these statistics, we can conclude that approximately 100 fans come to OnlyFans from 1 million views.
Among the fans from this Reel, there was one special one — a genuine whale who spent $20,000 in just over a month, and I earned $5,000 from him through RevShare. He subscribed to the model on December 31st — perhaps this was my New Year's gift from Santa Claus.
In total, I managed 3 Instagram accounts. For one, I purchased advertising, created Reels, and added my other accounts as collaborators to increase the amount of traffic.
Current Results and How Things Are Going Now
Currently, I have 5 active accounts that consistently generate traffic. Recently, I decided to start selling fans through OnlyTraffic in a CPL format, getting paid for each fan who subscribes to a model. I simply listed my offer there and set the price at $0.9 per fan. The first order came within 2 hours. Now I'm delivering 130-170 fans daily. Here's what the statistics look like today:
Selling through OnlyTraffic is now more profitable and easier than sitting in chats, messaging back and forth, and looking for traffic buyers. Therefore, I currently plan to focus on this approach. My offer can be found here.
